Weather information, be it about visibility, rainfall, temperatures, etc, is very important in more ways than one, and hence, event predictions in terms of the weather also have a huge role to play. Following the event predictions of the weather changes can help in many way, be it while planning for a vacation, while planning for a cruise, while planning of a trek, a fishing expedition, etc. Few other uses of event predictions of the weather conditions are very evident, such as the growth of crops, determination of the harvesting season, etc. It is very obvious that weather study offers a very limited insight into many conditions. However, now, such event predictions are even available on the internet.
- Air Traffic:
The aviation industry remains to be till date the most sensitive to changes in the climatic conditions. While fog causes concern during landing and take off of the aircrafts, thunderstorms, hailstorms and the like pose problems during flight. Hence, the aircraft industry depends largely upon event predictions of the changes expected to occur in the climatic conditions or the weather forecasts that follow.
- Utility Companies:
The utility companies like the power sector rely on these event predictions in order to meet the demands during different seasons. This is, however, only in case of extreme weather conditions.
